Being Leader

Love for Education is engraved deep in the soul of Hanan Ali Abbasi which is more of an inherited trait rather a latent attribute. He had faced countless problems in his educational career which evoked the sense of realization for the youth education related issues. However, his keen determination provided him the way and he became Educational Ambassador and Co-Leader of famous Educational enrolment campaign Taleem Karwan. The Alif Ailaan, in collaboration with the National Youth Assembly, has completed its five-day long Taleemi Karavan (EN: Education Caravan) successfully. It was an unremitting 5 days emergency enrolment caravan traversed through 1600 km of the 19 districts of Punjab. The leaders of the caravan, Imran Khan – a campaign Manager of Alif Ailaan, and Hanan Ali Abbasi , delivered motivational speeches to the 20 colossal gatherings in ignored areas of Punjab. The caravan comprising five decorated APV vans carried volunteers to as many as 19 districts via the Grand Trunk Road. However, an enrolment drive took place in 14 districts. Talking to the media Hanan said, “The aim of the caravan is to support the government’s efforts while engaging with stakeholders”. He said districts with low education performance indicators had been selected for the caravan. “This caravan is a long march for education,” he said. “We have had long marches for political objectives. Let’s see how the society reacts to one for education.” These include Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Gujranwala, Lahore, Okara, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Jhang, Multan, Muzaffargarh, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Rahim Yar Khan and Bahalwapur.
